"Wow the guy that Economy sent out didn't even have tools with him!!! We called for a hot water heater that wasn't heating up the water. The water heater is 8 years old and has a faulty thermocouple. The technician started giving us quotes to replace the water heater. I asked him ok what did you find wrong with it. He said "it don't work". I said I know that, that's why we called you. He said "yeah so it's $3000-$4000 to replace it. I said why replace it he said again "it don't work". I said "you know it's just a thermocouple right"? He said we can replace the burner assembly for $1400. I said why replace all of that if there's just one faulty part? At that point I lost all hope in him and his company and told him to leave. I also said "HAVE A NICE DAY RIPPING PEOPLE OFF!!!""

"Economy Plumbing Services' staff and professional plumber did an awesome job setting up and being on time with my appointment. The plumber who arrived at my house was Michael and he was awesome. He took the time to listen to what had been tried so far by ourselves and another company before accessing what the best route to take might be. The plumbing in this old house appears to be strangely laid out which caused some head scratching and problem solving. He also explained all of the options and why, which was very helpful because the other company had suggested a different route. It helped me also feel confident in my decision to move forward with his suggestion. I felt he was very professional, courteous, and honest. And best of all, "It worked" when nothing else had. "Economy Plumbing overcharge considerably. They said the job would take several hours but only took 30 minutes. They do however use up time writing multiple quotes on an ipad - "band aid", "better" and "best' solutions. In fact the "band aid" was all that was needed and fixed the issue. They then spent more time writing up more quotes. I had to ask them to leave as the situation became stressful. It is a big up sell and overcharge situation. I would not recommend them at all."

"From the initial contact in the office with Samera to when our service rep Brandon showed up, my experience has been over the top! Samera listened to my issue and made sure that I was scheduled for an estimate the same day. The next day Brandon came to do the work. He was thorough and although he was unable to repair the piping issue that day, he made sure and cleaned up everything and would let the dispatcher know that we needed more extensive work ASAP. He said that due to scheduling, he might not be able to make it back for a few days. Samera called me the next day and said they would be out the following day. for clarification, my issue was a hot water line busted under our slab and due to the way the plumbing was run Brandon was unable to locate it without causing wall damage to our house (we just completely remodeled it 2 months ago). we decided that the best route was to re-plumb the whole hot water system."

Then, he counseled me on why I should NOT install Glacier Bay (as my husband had already purchased replacement faucets). He was absolutely right—the faucets we had were basically all plastic and wouldn’t match the level of the other finishes in the bathroom. My husband and I had no idea what we were purchasing, because we were focused only on the price. I am very thankful for Chris’ guidance, and I love the new Moen faucets he picked out; truly, it was uncanny how he knew exactly what I would like. Called Economy Plumbing on Friday morning and was scheduled with an afternoon window for Friday afternoon. Luke arrived within the scheduled window and was very professional, courteous, and answered all questions. He provided a reasonable quote before beginning the task of clearing the clog. He took great care getting equipment in and out of the house. Luke was very thorough snaking the line. "Thursday afternoon I came home from work to find water leaking from a light fixture in our master bedroom ceiling. Our water heater is in the attic, directly above the leak. Over the phone, my husband walked me through getting to the water heater and shutting off the water supply line. Water was spraying from a copper line and When I called Economy Plumbing, the dispatcher was wonderfully understanding and helpful, and got us an 8-10am appointment window for Friday. I called the restoration company about the water damage and they agreed to show up at the same time. Economy texted back to let me know they could make it earlier—Thursday night. This was at about 5pm. Luke sent a text notification along with a photo, and was over here quickly. The restoration company was able to show up at about the same time. Within an hour, Luke had diagnosed the problem and ran through all the options for repairing components or replacing the water heater. We decided it would be most cost effective to replace it. Luke came out again first thing in the morning to install the new water heater. Less than 24 hours after I discovered the leak, we had hot water again. We couldn’t be happier with the service from Economy Plumbing. We will most definitely rely on them going forward."

I turned them away at the door, disgruntled with the service & called Economy back immediately. They told me the 3-5 slot was still open & that Michael would be dispatched. He was 30 min EARLY & was able to get started sooner than planned. He was very thorough, transparent, & went above the call of duty. Our toilet is good as new! He dealt with a very tricky clog in a very weirdly plumbed house, and did not stop trying until it was taken care of (which took awhile!) If he hadn't worked so diligently to clear the clog, I would have been faced with a very pricey fix involving cutting pipe and all sorts of things I absolutely didn't want to deal with. I was very impressed, and he seemed genuinely happy that he was able to take care of the issue with the less invasive fix. I'll be calling them again for any future plumbing problems. A plumber with a lower bid had backed out when 2 of his plumbers quit 3 days before they were scheduled to appear. It turned out well for me because Talmage turned out to be unusually good at explaining every detail, almost like a This Old House episode. The work included installing a shut off valve, a pressure regulating valve, 4 hosebibs, and three improvements to the water heater. In the process we learned the city shutoff valve was faulty and 2 city water guys showed up within 20 minutes to confirm this. One unexpected complication was that the original water heater installer had run the cold water line into the outgoing connector and vice versa, which still worked but not efficiently. Fixing this was harder than it sounds but was worth the $150 it cost. Plus I learned not to use that installer again next time. All in all, I'm pleased with the quality of the work, done at a fair price, and I won't hesitate to call them first for my next plumbing emergency.","language":"en"}"

(We are on a well in the Hill Country, not city water.) He arrived during the time range promised, removed the old unit, and installed a new Rheem model including the emergency leak pan and shutoff valve. He answered my questions about the electronic controller for the shutoff, cleaned up the installation debris, and hauled off the old unit. I called Economy plumbing and Sean was out within 2 hours. He came out a 8 o'clock at night and gave me a estimate on the job.. I hired him on the spot. The next day he dug up the broken pipe, freed the auger and fixed the broken sewer line. He also helped me clean up the auger; untangle it and loaded it on my truck. "Howard's the best! He showed up at the scheduled time, quickly assessed the situation with my water heater, which was in dire need of repair in order to bring it up to code. He surmised that for what it would cost to make the updates to an almost twenty year old heater, he could replace it with a brand new one and threw in a nice discount. He left to get the parts, returned in about an hour, changed out the old water heater and installed the new one along with some fancy add-ons within another hour. "Be prepared for add-on fees and work that isn't guaranteed or warrantied. I called Economy plumbing to clear the main sewer line on my rental duplex. The plumber arrived at the appointed time, and proceeded to snake the line under the toilet. The snake he used had no cutting attachment, but ended in just a (perhaps) 1/2 inch diameter smooth nub, that would only be able to punch holes in the blockage at best. After snaking the line once, the blockage was not entirely removed, although the drain line cleared temporarily, but filled up again when we ran the water. He snaked the drain a second time, after which the line appeared to be unclogged. This occurred on the Friday of Labor Day weekend, and when we used the shower on Saturday morning, the blockage had returned. I called and left my number on the emergency line; however, I received no response until Monday--which means that on holiday weekends, these folks do not check their emergency lines. Even if my problem was not technically an emergency (I'm not sure whether it qualifies), I'd think a courtesy call to say "we can't come out until ....." would certainly be warranted for an issue they were supposed to have repaired. The initial service visit cost about $300 for about an hour's-worth of service. When I got back in touch with them to find out if the failure to repair the drain would at least entail another complimentary drain snaking, I was told the repair was not warrantied, but they'd come take another look for free and provide an estimate. I scheduled that second look, and a few minutes later the plumber called me to tell me that the next step, since the snaking failed, was "camera and jetter," and he'd send an estimate over--it was pointless to come out because he didn't have the equipment in his vehicle. The quote arrived--and it was another $1000, most of which was just going to be the use of a "jetter," a high-pressure water treatment designed to remove blockages. My landlord, who paid for the initial plumbing visit, had wanted to do that himself anyway. Is this how plumbing services work? Do they do a basic, non-warrantied repair (which the plumber FAILED to mention was not warrantied at the time) that is destined to be a temporary fix, so that they can then snag the second visit? I have no love for this company, which doesn't even monitor the emergency phone line they provide, doesn't provide a courtesy call even just to say that they can't come, and does work that is not warrantied without telling the customer it isn't warrantied. "Economy Plumbing Services." Worst name ever."

They texted me with a exact visit time and sent a link to track the plumber using gps (it was fun to watch the progress of the tiny van on the map on my phone). The good was that the service was quick, the estimate was exact, and he went with my suggestion rather than pushing me to do an expensive fix. I appreciated him taking time to explain a few options and the benefits with each. They also accepted the coupon from Angie's List and sent me a PDF invoice to refer to.\n\nIf all service happened over the internet, this would be a five star experience. For the weird, the plumber didn't fully fill in the hole after repairing the underground pipe, but I overlooked it and knew it would be easy to do myself. I noticed later that the invoice stated digging and filling, so I called to get some money back since I did most of the digging and planned it fill it myself. The woman told me that I could expect a call back that day because the decision maker wasn't available at the time. I never got a call back, so I called again the next day and the same thing happened. All I wanted was for them to adjust the invoice and give me a little money back for my time and I told them it wasn't worth sending someone back out for something so simple. So instead of calling back either time, they just sent someone over that night (around 9:00) without letting me know. I only know this occurred because I came home and the hole was filled in!","language":"en"}"

"I walked into my garage on a Sunday morning, to see my car covered in splashed water. My garage attic water heater joint was leaking badly. I phoned Economy at mid day, and received a call back from Sean. He was busy but was able to come by around 5 pm, assess and fix the leak. Quickly diagnosed pressure problem to exterior faucet, efficiently replaced the aged fixture and issue was resolved. Moving on to interior problems, they permanently reseated master bath sink faucet. Quoted and ordered shower handle replacement kit, to be installed upon arrival. Quoted insulation wrap and strap around attic water line, which was approved and ordered for later date (supplies not on truck).\n\nOverall, my experience from obtaining quotes to service call was positive. Don't be mislead by name though... pricing is anything BUT economical! I found them to be at top end of area-tolerance. Sending two techs for a single-tech job may be one reason for high cost, as I felt it excessive but perhaps understandable considering the diagnostic nature of exterior problem. \n\nI am a repeat customer and have used Economy Plumbing for both residential and commercial properties. They are neither lowest or highest priced, but consistently perform quality work and honor their warranty/guarantee by returning to resolve without hassle. That alone is priceless!","language":"en"}"

"If you are looking for Fast, Professional, and Curious service, you've found the right place to do business with!! Larry came out to my home yesterday, and from start to finish, I could not have asked, or expected, anything more!! Not only did he call before he arrived to let me know about how long before he would be, but he explained everything with me from start to finish on the job also!! AWESOME!! And while, for some, it might have been a(n) "easy-repair", things tend to get very complex in a huge hurry!! Not only did he fix what others in the past had done, but I had leak-free, running water restored to my home!! QUALITY craftsman and craftsmanship!! If you have plumbing issues, call here, and seek out Larry!! I'll definitely be dealing with him, and this company, for all my needs that's for sure!!"

"{"text":"My experience with Economy Plumbing was that they are da bomb! Two men, Sean and another man whose name I did not get arrived, on time and worked fast. Sean immediately diagnosed my problem with a sink as not a plumbing problem and explained how it was related to my air conditioning/heater that drains into the same pipe. He lifted a cap off something(?) with the caveat that it may not help. It did and the noise stopped. This is my new plumbing company to call. Why? Because he could have easily charged me hundreds of dollars for doing this but didn't. I don't know anything about plumbing and he could tell that. Love this company!!!","language":"en"}"

"Unfortunately my experience with Economy Plumbing was not a good one..a little background. They replaced a part that cost over 400 dollars last year on June 15th. On June 21st of this year that part broke and they wanted to charge me another 400 bucks to replace it. They did not want to honor the warranty, it was only 5 days after it expired. Wiith that said they did drop the price by 50%. They didn't want to do the right thing by the customer. There were 2 plumbers that came to the house. One of them was very argumentative. I asked to speak with the owner he wouldn't give me his number. I left two messages for him at his orfice and still have yet to hear back. Extremely poor customer service."

The service was scheduled and completed by Larry and his co-worker-- both were very professional and answered any questions we had. After experiencing a mild catastrophe and losing 40% of my once pristine wood flooring, I was fairly hesitant to even move on and correct the source of my indignation. After speaking with Larry Baker, he was cordial enough to contact me, diagnose the issue, whether or not I had water, etc., and went as far as prioritizing his schedule to fit me in sooner rather than later. In a word, he was EXCELLENT. Larry made a terrible experience that much easier to bear and I can only hope the insurance company and future contractors are as competent in restoring some semblance of normalcy to my life as he and Economy Plumbing Services.","language":"en"}"

"{"text":"I have finally found my plumber. After bouncing around for a while, Economy will be my plumbing go to from now on. These guys hit it on customer service, professionalism, price, quickness to get here and quickness of completing the job. Jered, my technician today, was great.Great guy and did great work. \n\n I love that you can set up an appt through Yelp, Economy sends great email reminders and text reminders and they call before coming (these guys are using technology the right way to delight customers (from appt reminders to checkout). Jered called 30 minutes before the appt time to say he would be there in 30 minutes. Showed up right on time and knocked it out. Even gave me advice on what dirt to backfill our hole with. I will definitely be using Economy for all future needs. \n\nPS: A huge plus, they happily and willingly accept the Yelp Deal they advertise. This seems to be an issue with some companies. They offer it and then make you feel bad for using it. Not Economy. And that is a huge reason I will go with them for all jobs from now on. I love the Yelp Deal and I love that they know offering and happily accepting it will get them repeat business. I have no reason to look around ever again.","language":"en"}"

Jared and his helper showed up on time twice: once for the estimate and once for the repair (faucet needed to be replaced, which I needed to provide). For both visits, they sent a reminder email, and the plumber called when he was 1/2 hour away. The repair itself was for exactly the amount of the estimate. I had bought the wrong kind of faucet, but Jared thought of a work around on the spot and the job went off without a hitch. \n\nEverybody I dealt with was courteous, professional and knowledgeable.
