The problem
An Austin homeowner called us about low water pressure — the kind that turns a shower into a trickle and makes every faucet in the house feel tired. When pressure fades everywhere at once, the problem usually isn't one fixture. It's the piping itself.
What we found
The home's water lines were old galvanized pipe, the same pipe you can see in the wall photos next to the new work. Galvanized lines narrow from the inside as they age, and this house had reached the point where patching one section at a time would have meant chasing the same problem room by room. The honest fix was the whole system.
What we did
We replaced all of the water piping in the home — from the meter to the house, under the house, and out to each fixture. Three hose faucets were replaced along the way, and we reconnected the sprinkler system's backflow preventer to the new lines. While the walls were open, we also replaced the bathtub faucet and the hall bathroom toilet. Then we pressure-tested the new system: no leaks.
The result
Full water pressure back, everywhere in the house — the after photo is the tub and shower running a strong, full stream on the new lines. Every pipe that carries water in this home is now new brass and PEX instead of aging galvanized, so the pressure problem is fixed at the source instead of one repair at a time.
