The problem
This Austin hose bibb was quietly leaking. The before photo shows the old bibb on its insulated riser — and the dark wet stain on the paver below it. A leak like that doesn't announce itself; it just keeps soaking the ground and the base of the wall, drip by drip.
What we found
The bibb had reached the end of its life. Left alone, a slow outdoor leak wastes water around the clock and works moisture toward the wall and foundation. It was a small problem — exactly the kind worth catching early.
What we did
The leak turned up during the homeowner's VIP service visit, and we renewed the hose bibb on the spot. The after photo is the same riser with the new bibb installed — fresh seals, a handle that turns like it should, and the drip gone.
The result
A five-minute find on a routine visit, fixed the same day, instead of a stained wall and a water bill mystery months later. Small leaks are cheap exactly once: when you catch them early.
